HAPPY NEW YEAR 2017!

Hello Trailriders!  Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Marilyn reminded me that I haven't documented our tentative schedule for 2017. We talked about possible rides at our Halloween party & our Christmas party. Here's what I remember which may or may not be accurate:

April - West Desert, Phillips & Cooks
May - Mt. Carmel, Brenchleys & Larsens
June - Panguitch, Englands
July 16, 17, 18 - Island Park, Dix & Sheila
Aug - Richfield, Cooks
Sept - Vernal, Palmers

I don't remember any specific dates nailed down except for Island Park because we thought we would need to make motel/hotel reservations before everything got booked. If I've got this wrong or if anyone has corrections or updates, let me know.

One New Year's resolution is to have even more fun and safe rides in 2017 than we did in 2016!!!!

CHRISTMAS PARTY 2016

We had the most elegant Christmas Party hosted by the Cooks.  Their home was warm, welcoming and so festive for Christmas.  We were treated like royalty as we ate a delicious catered dinner served to us on fine heirloom china by three beautiful granddaughters.  After dinner we were entertained by Clair with a revision of the Timpanogos Trail Riders 'Bylaws, Suggestions and Commandments' (outlined below), and then the Philips with their thoughtful, insightful, quirky and fun Christmas gifts for everyone.  It was a wonderful evening of fun, friendship and festivities.  I think we would all agree that we have the...

BEST RIDING GROUP EVER!!!
 Timpanogos Trail Riders
Bylaws, Suggestions & Commandments
  • Thou shalt remember that the name Timpanogos Trail Riders and the acronym TTR, should always be used with respect and reverence.
  • Thou shalt always meet at the time set by the ride leader, having your RZR fully filled with fuel and always, always, having your RZR key on your person.  No one likes to be known as "Mr. Nokey."
  • Thou shalt always wait at a trail intersection until you are sure beyond a shadow of a doubt that the next driver knows where to turn.  Who knows you could be the next driver lost in the wilderness, and it ain't fun.
  • Thou shalt always bring treats on rides, making sure that there is plenty to pass around to your hungry friends realizing we can't all by Jule, but we can do our best.
  • Thou shalt realize that you do not have to have a heart stent placed in an artery to be a member of TTR.
  • Thou shalt remember that the only kind of donuts allowed on a ride are the kind that are sugar-coated, frosted and/or jelly filled.  Just saying.
  • Thou shalt remember that the owner with the most accessories isn't necessarily more manly.
  • Thou shall not be jealous of those who show up with new accessories, but it is perfectly acceptable to install the same accessory on your machine for the next ride.
  • Thou shalt remember that the lunch break is not the most important event of the day, although most don't agree.  Remember those who forget their chairs are looked down upon, and thistles abound in the outdoors.
  • Thou shalt remember that some TTR members require more potty breaks than others.  Bladder size is not related to IQ.  Some need more time and/or more privacy than others.  Some need to remember that you and your actions are not invisible to the group.
  • Thou shalt remember that above all, safety is first, always have fun, love one another, watch out for each other, enjoy nature and our friendship.  Realize that not everyone is blessed with such a fun hobby and such wonderful, outstanding friends.  Go TTR!!!!
